Pacific Rim is an American science-fiction franchise owned by Legendary Pictures, comprised of films, comics, books, video games, and tie-in merchandise. Pacific Rim, directed by Guillermo del Toro and released theatrically in 2013 by Warner Bros., depicts the conclusion of a twelve-year war between humanity and a succession of kaiju who emerge from an interdimensional portal in the Pacific Ocean.
