Hayama is a pilot and 2nd Lieutenant for the J.X.S.D.F. in the 2002 tokusatsu Template:Kaiju Template:FilmC, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla
Hayama is an experienced pilot working for the J.X.S.D.F., who at the time were working on the construction of Kiryu. He quickly forms a grudge against Akane Yashiro, primarily due to an incident several years earlier in which she caused the death of his brother, and his repugnance towards her is further fueled when she is hired to be on Hayama's team. After several instances in which Hayama confronts Akane for her 'wrongdoings', he gradually fades into the background during the Godzilla crisis.
