The Los Vegas monster

hello Opti the Noob, The Los Vegas monster is not alound on our wiki but we have a sub-wiki called Giant Monsters Wiki created by our own Allosaurus that you can make a full detailed page on the link to the site is here

Opti the Noob (talkcontribs)

Welp, I added the Las Vegas monster in the list because it was a scrapped giant monster project, but it doesn't really needs an article in the wiki. By the way, isn't this wiki also for other giant monsters too?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

It depends, we've got some complicated criteria.

Opti the Noob (talkcontribs)

Huh, so to add a giant monster or movie to the wiki they need to follow this criteria, right?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Well, yes. As for what the criteria is... in short, we start from Godzilla, Gamera, and King Kong and built outward. We cover (or plan to cover) numerous Willis O'Brien films because of how important he was to Kong's creation. While Pete Peterson worked with O'Brien, he never worked on a Kong movie, so something like Las Vegas Monster is beyond our scope.

Also, to be clear, the Giant Monsters Wiki is not affiliated with us; some of our editors just work on both sites.

Allosaurus (talkcontribs)

Not really numerous, but we plan to cover three (The Lost World (1925), Mighty Joe Young (1949) and The Black Scorpion).

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

And The Giant Behemoth, which encompasses every monster movie he did stop-motion for. Weird thing to nitpick.

Allosaurus (talkcontribs)

There are The Ghost of Slumber Mountain and The Lost World (1960). Also he was an autor of ideas for The Beast of Hollow Mountain and The Valley of Gwangi.

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

The Ghost of Slumber Mountain... maybe. I admit I had forgotten about it! But I wouldn't consider any of the others to be Willis O'Brien films; it doesn't seem as though he had direct involvement with any of them. Hollow Mountain and Gwangi are just based on one of his unfilmed projects. The Lost World hired him, found it couldn't make use of his talents due to time/budget constraints, and slapped his name on the finished product anyway to boost its credibility.

Allosaurus (talkcontribs)

Thank you for answering, I completely understood that, just mentioned there are other films he was involved in.

Opti the Noob (talkcontribs)

Thanks for explaining, I thought the reason why some of the unmade monster movies like the Harryhausen or the aforementioned Las Vegas monster was because there wasn't any source available to proof their existence.
