Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century
You wrote one run-on sentence.
don't you mean a Description?
i added info on the films production.
Hey Allosaurus how dd you set your wiki userpage as the first thing the person sees when they enter your account
i can tell you that asp.
Hello Mantheplan123, if I understand correctly, then visit your account page and click "Use wiki userpage".
Butwhen i click it it takes me to the special toggle page
Sorry if I understood wrong. If you want to edit your social profile, you can just click "Edit" button.
Ok now that that's done i hae another thing i would like you to ask buddy What is a Sandbox?
Sandbox is an unfinished page (or simply a draft), which can be finished later.
Giant Monsters Wiki
hello Al, as you well know i no longer edit your wiki, but there is a new user who is doing a good job at editing the site and even has a bot. why have you stopped editing?
I haven't stopped, but usually I just don't have time.
Found some interesting movies in Internet: Spider-Man vs. Godzilla (it seems to be fake), Kaiju (yes, it is just titled Kaiju), Giant Monsters Attack Japan! and Sand Python Siege. How about the inclusion of the last one? I should say I haven't watched it, but as I know Wikizilla covers Chinese kaiju movies.
Giant Monsters Attack Japan! can get a page, but as a scrapped project; it's been six years since anything resembling an update. Here's the script: https://www.scribd.com/document/398091753/Giant-Monsters-Attack-Japan-J-F-Lawton-1
As best as I can tell, we don't have a single Chinese movie on this site, unless you count The Mighty Peking Man and the ones co-produced by Tencent. I peeked at the ending of Sand Python Siege on YouTube and it doesn't look like it's going to change that. The poster showing kaiju-sized snakes wrapped around skyscrapers as helicopters rain down missiles is deceptive.
I have a question. Why Wikizilla covers Cloverfield franchise? It has it's own wiki, and all movies in the franchise aren't made in the kaiju style. The first movie is made in the "found footage" style, not in the kaiju genre, the second and the third aren't even monster movies. I watched It Came from Beneath the Sea several days ago, and it follows the kaiju genre way more, than Cloverfield. I don't say we should cover It Came from Beneath the Sea or we should delete Cloverfield pages, but I just asked.
Because the Cloverfield movies are manageable. The Pacific Rim franchise, for instance, has dozens of giant characters in it, and the Ultra Series even more. That being said, our pages on the original Cloverfield still need some serious work.
Genre's a slippery thing. The site exclusively calls Japanese films "kaiju films" to avoid endless arguments over what is and isn't a kaiju. Personally, I would consider Cloverfield a kaiju movie even though it's American because of Clover's size, resilience, and unusual appearance. The way in which the story is presented is irrelevant. I'm less inclined to view American giant-animal movies the same way, and there are far too many of them for us to possibly cover.
As for the Cloverfield follow-ups, both have certainly have giant monsters in them, even if they're not the main attractions, and don't require a serious number of subpages.
I wish that the criteria for introducing new movies to this site weren't so convoluted, but I see only two other options, and I don't like either of them.
- We allow a page for every movie about monsters that are bigger than, say, a T-Rex, and our tiny staff never finishes them.
- We tighten the criteria and delete a whole bunch of pages.
Still, at this point we probably should make a special page for approved movies that don't have pages yet, as well as movies that have been rejected, with reasons laid out for each.
Okay, but why we cannot cover American giant monster movies with special effects by Ray Harrishausen and Willis O'Brien, if we still can have Monsters (2010) article, because it was directed by Gareth Edwards? I don't say we should cover all of them, only which follow kaiju genre. It Came from Beneath the Sea has way more kaiju atmosphere than Mega Shark movies.
As I remember this wiki was only about Godzilla at first, but was extended and include movies, which cannot have their own wikis. However, many movies can't be here. I like the first option, but the only one thing I can do is just propose some changes.
I've come around on The Lost World, and you might as well throw in The Black Scorpion too. If we're to give King Kong the same standing as Godzilla and Gamera on this site, then the other monsters animated by the man who first brought him to life should be covered. Harryhausen not so much - he made far more monster movies, and only two of them have any connection to the core characters this wiki is about.
As for It Came from Beneath the Sea and the Mega Shark movies, well, our definitions of "kaiju atmosphere" clearly differ. For what it's worth, I doubt I would have pushed for Mega Shark if the later entries didn't have giant robots in them. Mega Piranha also has kaiju-sized animals and I don't want that here... even though it would be fun to talk about the Nerf guns The Asylum used as props.
What kind of monster movies deserve to be covered?
Short answer: Godzilla movies, Gamera movies, King Kong movies, Toho monster movies, and movies with clear connections to them.
Long answer: Stay tuned for the special page I mentioned above.
Thank you for the long and detailed answer. Also I think this special page is a good idea. Thanks again.
i'm back after three days away so what did i mis?
@Mr. Eiga: Sorry, I forgot to answer, you didn't miss nothing special.
why won't les let me make a Luigi Cozzi page when theres a John Beck page?
Yes, I wasn't here only one month, but I decided to return, because why not?
Glad you're back.
@Mr. Eiga: I decided to write a plot section for Gamera vs. Zigra.
and what else?
please do not delete Giant Monsters Wiki al, I have soo much work on that site.
Why would any of us do that?
^^^^^ Why haven't you done that yet al, and is that your only reason for your return?
@Mr. Eiga: Why you even think I will delete Giant Monsters Wiki? I created it way earlier for the monsters and movies, that cannot be on Wikizilla.
Nice to see you back
I left Wikizilla...
What do you mean?
Oh. Now I see it. :(
Probably I will return someday but not now.
Welp, probably one of the few times I'm ever gonna do this.
Well, you were a good friend. We will miss you.
Thanks. I will miss you all too :( . But probably The H-Man is right, I overdramatize.
Happy New Year

hi there Allosaurus
hello Allosaurus i have help you by changing up a page in your sandbox to help Attack of the Giant Teacher if you don't like the changes please reply thanks.
Okay, thanks for the help! :)
Godzilla vs. Kong
What do you think, who will win in Godzilla vs. Kong? Are you in Team Godzilla or in Team Kong?
I think Godzilla just must win but if Kong will win, that won't be bad (for me).
Probably in the beginning one of the kaiju appears near Skull Island and Kong follows him, but meets Godzilla. I think Kong will win in the first round but Godzilla will win in the second round. But later Mechagodzilla or other villain appears and Godzilla and Kong unite against him (actually many people think so).
But I think that even if Kong will win, he will just come back to Skull Island, because in MonsterVerse Kong "hasn't no desire to bother the outside world and being more concerned with matters on Skull Island".
Oh, why I can't post anything here? My page is glitching!
My page has stopped glitching.
Hmm? I'm seeing four consecutive messages.
I suspect Legendary will throw a bone to the Godzilla fans still bitter about 1962, but we won't quite get the "definite winner" Wingard spoke of.
Whatever you do, don't plagiarize anything at all. Before you tell me that you didn't, I looked up word for word what you typed and Wikipedia came up. This is a warning. Even though I don't have the power to ban you or temp ban you, I can certainly call you out.
Your welcome. Thank you for hearing me out. I've seen too many people that get banned because of this issue.
