- Daiei, a Japanese film company founded in 1942, responsible for producing the first seven Gamera films, the Daimajin trilogy, and the Yokai Monsters trilogy before going bankrupt in 1971.
- Daiei Film, the successor to Daiei founded by parent company Tokuma Shoten in 1974 after acquiring all of Daiei's assets, responsible for producing Gamera Super Monster and the Heisei Gamera trilogy.
- Kadokawa, a Japanese media conglomerate which owns all of the assets of both incarnations of Daiei, and operates the modern Kadokawa Daiei Studio. It owns the licenses to the Gamera, Daimajin, and Yokai Monsters franchises, producing at least one piece of media based on each and distributing and licensing previous entries to home video.
