i haven't seen it mentioned at all here but is anyone aware there's a novelization of S.P that actually elaborates on some things in the series that never get explained as well but i have no idea if its canon

KyoeToshi on there twitter has posted some details from it and claims it is canon

a prime example is apparently Hedorah is in fact Kumonga among other things they have posted.

It can certainly get a page. I'm curious about this proof of it being canonical to the show; that's rare for a novelization.

i wasn't really asking about it being a page but more or less if anyone here even knew if it existed since i saw nothing here about it

if im recalling correctly i recall seeing tweets from Kyoei saying the aquatic Rodan form is indeed still apart of the story

other tidbits being anguirus future sight is further than we thought previously as it apparently can see everything that was going to happen to it up til the moment it dies and has memories of seeing actual prehistoric dinosaurs as well as even speculated that archetype may have killed the dinosaurs which somehow indicates this stuff may had manifested during the dinosaur period but didnt destroy reality?

another was the first Rodan that was encountered actually wasn't inherently trying to be hostile and actually was trying to free goro from jet jaguar because it perceived him as being trapped inside a larger creature

and every kaiju is actually an extension of the Singular Point itself which apparently in itself is an entity that's omnipresent and exist in every possible dimension/timeline/universe and wants to destroy them but despite this each kaiju has its own distinct personality and motives which makes it even more odd that Rodan may have not been trying to be inherently hostile .

"Every kaiju is an extension of the Singular Point" is certainly hard to reconcile with them killing each other sometimes.

well i did mention each kaiju has there own motives and personality which is stated by Kyoei in one tweet, this is probably why they kill eachother despite all coming from the same source i think this is parallel to the whole naratake A.I which both pelops and yung come from but despite being from the same source or an extension of it they compete.

infact multiple manda's was trying to kill godzilla thinking it could absorb his level of powers by biting onto him

The Jellyfish/Hedorah/Kumonga connection and Rodan and the Song

"The book is told from the viewpoint of many characters, usually not the ones seen in the anime. At the festival a local historian relates several local legends, including one of a creature called Hedorah. Years earlier there was an infestation of jellyfish-like creatures (no doubt the archetype carrying ones Ashihara studied) in the sea. They came ashore and combined into a watery creature named Hedorah. This is the creature shown on the matsuri float in the series. The historian also brings up the legend of the Koshira print (the big mural) and also Yamato Takeru (pointing towards Orochi being part of the Singular Point). In another section JJPP is taking the role of omniscient narrator and giving an overview of what we saw in the series, but says if we want to know more that’s another story (WATCH THE SHOW!!). We move to the Radon attack on the festival, and it’s told from Radon’s viewpoint. It’s confirmed he’s an avatar of the Singular Point being. The Radon has incredible visual acuity-he can actually see radio waves, and ’sees’ the lyrics to Alapu Upala. Their cries that light up electronics are seen by them as colorful outpourings. Alapu Upala is recognized by him as calling him back to his birthplace. Radon is extremely confused by the right angles and straight edges in this world. He’s also weirded out by the big shiny being (JJ) and all the small creatures that emit virtually no radio waves. He’s very curious, though. And he’s really not impressed by local craftsmanship when the tower he alights on proves so fragile."

Interesting. It's unusual for a novelization to conform to the source material so well - though equally unusual to be released a year after the source material, which certainly makes the conforming easier.

seeing that we seem to be updating stuff relating to this series should i start posting these tweets again?

a lot of stuff has been posted actually since last time ive even posted anything here.

such as Godzillas breath not being atomic and the singular point entity itself giving humans knowledge to stop the earlier Godzilla from the 1950s so it could rest.

Some of this stuff is very weird and in all honesty dont know where exactly i could put some of this information .

I dont have twitter (nor want one for obvious reasons) nor any contact with the person who has the book so i am unable to ask them specifics. So if this is information you want i can only do so much about it.

Plus i generally like sharing this stuff with other people to see what they think about this stuff.

There's just a finite number of things I can do for the site during the semester; right now I don't have the time to do much besides patrol and chip away at the Singular Point episode pages. But if you make edits, I'll make suggestions.

So i was actually wondering

what do we call this thing, Pelops 2 got destroyed but it mentioned an episode earlier it saved a backup of its own A.I back at the Hotel Mei was staying at and this looks like the cube robot that Pelops was kind of using to move around in and there's a Three on it which the Implication seems to be its Supposed to be a Pelops 3 but I'm not sure how to address this thing in the appearance section

I'd just put "Pelops III" and stick a note after it saying something like the name is assumed based on its appearance.

Hey so why was my edit on how many episodes that Makita was in undone? Im not sure how episode apperance listing works entirely but i checked myself and he was in those episodes.

I am happy to announce that the episode sandboxes are filled out on my end like i said i would.

I forgot to mention this but one of the staff did undo an edit on the final episode cast i tried to add Jet Jaguar PP to the voice actress of Pelops(who speaks in Unison with Jungs voice) but it got undone because they said it wasnt credited

I am limited in my skill but i still want to work on something related to the series.

Start going through the Monstrosities Singular Point videos for info that can be added to various Development sections.

i remember an earlier pitch for the series wanted the series to be set during the Edo period i think and that was in one of those videos

one bit of info from the videos i recall was about kumonga saying that blue stuff was mucus and it hardens according to a quote from someone who worked on the show but from what we see in the show itself it doesn't really solidify but i was unsure how this could of been addressed because i was unsure how to add seemingly contradictory info in this regard which was why i didn't add it.
