Cave/giant bear

Hi, do you have a source which contradicts the "cave bear" name? That is what's used in Ray Morton's Kong book (and also how it's popularly been referred to on places like Wikipedia). If not, I'd ask that you please not change page titles for no reason like that.

Not really. And just because it's called that on wikipedia doesn't really make it a cave bear. We need official canon info on it's actual species, so calling it a giant bear makes more sense than giving it a species name. If that's what ray morton's book said, then that's acceptable. But references should be cited for material like this.

Anyway, sorry for moving it, but I did have a reason.

It's no biggie. I agree that the page should've indicated the source of the name, but for future, I would have preferred that you asked where it came from first. Also, I wasn't saying Wikipedia should be used as a source, but just that it shows the name's usage is not limited to this website.

Regarding the species, I don't know that the bear in the movie is meant to be a literal Ursus spelaeus, so I removed the part in the infobox that suggested it was. The most Morton says in his book is that it's "based on an actual prehistoric animal."

Alright, thanks for understanding. I'll ask about the articles next time before taking action.
