i understand your decision on removing the opening on each page that was a bit of a rash decision on my part. do you have any recommendations as to where it should go instead?

I'd stick it in a Screenshots heading under Zone Fighter (series)'s Gallery. If you upload a whole lot of screenshots in the future, that section can get migrated to a "Zone Fighter (series)/Gallery" page.
