When Godzilla starts to fight the Cryogs’ Mechagodzillas in “Hunting Party”, the narrator says that it has been four years since his disappearance and since he last had to face an adversary. Either that or that’s how much time past between Godzilla disappearance during that bomb barrage and when he reawakened while encased in an iceberg.

So i guess the “four years later” part i typed in SpaceGodzilla’s history section stands true, though that isn’t the case with the first 3 volumes of GROE. This clears things up i guess.
By "the latter" I mean that the line is referring to the timeskip between issues #12 and #13 of Rulers of Earth. It doesn't make any sense for it to be referring to the events of Godzilla; Godzilla fought plenty of opponents in the first part of Rulers of Earth. A text box early in issue #13 also states that it's taking place four years after the last issue.

Doesn’t Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla’s team-up occur after issue 13? Last I checked, the Trilopods don’t debut until volume 5.
Yes, but you seem to be assuming that Rulers of Earth #1 picks up immediately after Godzilla #13 - I don't think the exact time that passed between them is given.
I never assumed that. I originally assumed that GROE entirely took place 4 years later. Now i know that’s only the case with issue 13 onwards. The first 12 probably take place months after Godzilla: Ongoing. ¯\_(->-)_/¯
