Hello my friend, I wanted to ask if we’re allowed to add mentions of animals in the minor appearances lists of pages (like adding wolves to the list of minor creatures that appeared in GKotM.

MrPenguin (talkcontribs)

i don't think so, they aren't "monsters" and are just animals

Firekong (talkcontribs)

There are some animals added in the minor creatures list, like the fish in Godzilla minus one and various dinosaurs in some pages (Godzilla singular point and Godzilla raids again as an example).

We make exceptions for various prehistoric animals because so many of the works we cover treat them as monsters, and in many cases they're appearing in the present day, making them sufficiently unusual. I'll grant that the case for the fish in Godzilla Minus One is weaker... I believe the thinking there was that they're unknown animals who were partially portrayed through special effects techniques, similar to the deep-sea fish at the beginning of Gorgo. But you might be able to make the case for a lot of random animals with that logic.

Fair, but I just wanted to check and make sure because it seemed like fair game to add others too. Though the species of fish in KotM were also unidentified, and modern animals can be considered monsters if you use the same logic for prehistoric monsters.
