The Heat Ray Godzilla's sculpt is the same as the KOTM Godzilla's. If you compare images of the Heat Ray and KOTM Godzilla figures to the first release, you may see that there are differences. The most notable of which being the neck, chest, and head sculpts. But it's not a variant of this figure, which is what the edits are implying. It uses the same sculpt as this one.

I don't really see what needs to be specified here if the text already states that it's a variant of the KOTM Godzilla figure, meaning it uses its sculpt.

you keep changing the name to call it the 2019 one even though Hiya very clearly has stated its supposed to represent Godzilla in Godzilla Vs Kong

yes it uses the GKOTM sculpt but its supposed to be Godzilla as seen in GVK the product name itself makes it abundantly clear.

im not entirely sure myself what to call it exactly since this is a very unique situation so i suggest go ask Les or another admin about it.

I'm not denying that it's based off Godzilla's appearance in Godzilla vs. Kong, but it's talking about the sculpt itself, which is why I keep changing it back. Because it's not the same sculpt as the first Godzilla Hiya has released, yet the revision makes it seem like it is.

I frankly don't even see what was so unique about this situation in the first place. The article made no mention of whether or not it was based on Godzilla's appearance in GvK. It solely talked about the appearance of the figure itself. I feel like adding that it was meant to replicate his GvK appearance is fine, but that was never my problem. My issue lies in what sculpt was used. The current phrasing of the first sentence is like this:

"A variant of the Exquisite Basic Godzilla 2021 figure was revealed on March 24, 2023." This makes it sound like the GvK version was used as the base for the figure, when it clearly wasn't.

And the reason I changed it that last time was because I mistakenly assumed we were on the same page, since you didn't reply. Looking back on it now, though, I shouldn't have changed it so quickly. While I still don't think the current phrasing of that first sentence is accurate, I won't change it back.

Yes, the new edit clarifies it, but it still kind of contradicts that first sentence.
