Kawahime (川姫, lit. river girl) is a kind of aquatic Japanese yokai, or folklore creature. One appears in the 2005 Kadokawa film, The Great Yokai War.
History
The Great Yokai War
Appearing to save Tadashi Ino from drowning when he ventured into the world of yokai, the kawahime stuck with him and was the first to believe that trouble was brewing in their world. She, along with the kawantaro, shojo, and azukiarai stormed the enemy's base, only to have every yokai in Japan converge on the threat.
