Krystalak is a monster that possesses extraordinary physical capabilities. He is also flexible, having fast attack speeds and reactions, such as being able to perform backflips, somersaults, twirling, spinning kicks, and hurl and launch himself towards an opponent with his crystal spiked carapace. Krystalak (クリスタラック is a crystalline Kurisutaraku)kaiju that appeared in the Wii version of the 2007 Godzilla video game Godzilla: Unleashed, as well as the Nintendo DS game Godzilla Unleashed: Double Smash released the same year.
Name
Krystalak's name comes from the word crystal, and may be derived from the Czech word krystalizovat, which means to crystallize.
Design
Krystalak resembles both cats and reptiles. His back and head are coated in sharp purple crystal spines, which also form a tuft on his tail, the claws on his limbs, scaled armor on his underbelly, his beard, and the pattern on his chest. He also possesses a small, yellow spherical crystal in his chest pattern. On his face, arms, torso, and legs, white-scaled flesh is visible. He stands crouched and hunched over.
Abilities
Prism Beam
Krystalak is capable of expelling a purplish beam of light that involves exploding crystal shards suspended and propelled in it in a solid stream, bludgeoning foes from a distance.
Tail Blast
Krystalak is able to generate spherical energy blasts from the tip of his tail. These blasts are more powerful than the creature's regular energy weapon, taking about a quarter of a monster's health bar. It is possible that like his Prism Beam, there is an involvement of exploding crystal shards. He can also use his spikes on the tip of his tail to stab or impale enemy monsters.
Physical capabilities
Krystalak is a monster that possesses extraordinary physical capabilities. He is extremely agile and fast, able to cross from the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz Island in a matter of 4-5 seconds, with the distance between the Golden Gate and Alcatraz being 4.7 kilometers, suggesting that Krystalak is capable of exceeding to sprinting speeds to more or less than Mach 3. He is also flexible, having fast attack speeds and reactions, such as being able to perform backflips, somersaults, twirling, spinning kicks, and hurl and launch himself towards an opponent with his crystal spiked carapace. Krystalak also appears to be an extraordinary jumper, able to leap to incredible heights, jumping hundreds of meters in the air.
Durability
Krystalak has a large spiked carapace on his back, which naturally looks like crystals due to his involvement with crystals. He is also naturally unfazed from the Global Defense Force's weaponry and is even able to shrug off the Freezer Tank's ultra-low temperature cannons and the Vortaak UFO's energy blasts. This is evidenced by the fact Krystalak has an energy weapon resistance to alien energy, electricity, freezing, and heat attacks.
Crystal Overload
Krystalak's special ability in-game is an ability called Crystal Overload. He performs this attack by overloading his heart and cause a large shockwave to appear, easily decimating buildings and capable of both knocking over and severely damaging other kaiju. Krystalak is able to demonstrate this ability when having more than half of his energy bars in-game. The more energy he charges, the more powerful the shockwave will be.
Prism Surge Attack
After collecting enough energy, Krystalak leaps into the air and summons a number of prism cyclones that deal damage in three consecutive bursts. As the attack ends, Krystalak falls back to the ground. This ability is exclusive in Godzilla Unleashed: Double Smash.

Godzilla: Unleashed
"Krystalak is a semi-sentient crystal organism, spawned by the same meteor shower that threatens to rip the earth apart. Born from the crystals, Krystalak seeks to bring all of their energies together to make himself into the ultimate monster. Like the crystals that spawned him, Krystalak is quite resistant to most forms of energy weapons, forcing opponents to fight him tooth and claw. Krystalak can expel crystal shards in a solid stream, bludgeoning foes from a distance. Krystalak can also overload his crystal heart - sacrificing his own physical integrity to damage everything nearby. With no ties to any existing alien or terrestrial powers, Krystalak seeks power at any cost."
