Features
News
The app primarily consists of a news feed, which can be filtered by various categories. These include:
- "Works" (作品) for news pertaining to films, series and other productions
- "Goods" (グッズ) for upcoming merchandise and Godzilla Store releases
- "Events" (イベント) for promotional events and campaigns
- "Other" (その他) for miscellaneous news
News stories can also be liked or searched for. In February of 2021, a poll to determine the next Bandai Movie Monster Series figure was launched through the Godzilla+ app, which could be accessed under the Events tab.
Missions
The Godzilla+ app also has optional missions: objectives which can be completed by performing various tasks in return for Godzilla Digital Collection Cards, virtual trading cards. There are currently 14 different cards to be collected. In addition to the basic cards earned through specific tasks, there are "limted" [sic] cards, earned by visiting different Godzilla-related sites in Japan, and one "star card" earned by completing two missions. The available cards and their missions are as follows:
