Hiroshi Aramata (荒俣 宏,   Aramata Hiroshi) is a Japanese novelist and occasional actor best known for his Teito Monogatari series of books. In 2005, Aramata published the novel The Great Yokai War, which served as the basis for the film of the same name. Aramata also participated in the film as a script producer and advisor, and appeared in it as the character Gorozaemon Sanmoto. A decade and a half later, Aramata returned to executive produce a sequel, The Great Yokai War: Guardians, for which he also portrayed the character Amefurikozo and penned a novelization.
