Disagreements over whether sounds effects come from prior films have been fairly common on this site, but repeatedly trying to edit a page over objections is not the way to win an argument. I think that generally if there's debate over matching sounds even when all parties have listened to the same clips, we should err on the side of caution and leave the information out of the page.
I also don't think identifying single instances of reused sound effects should be a priority for these sections. Background on the sound design process for each monster would probably be of greater interest to our readers. I imagine that information exists somewhere for Clover - interviews with the sound team would be the place to start, perhaps the film's special features too.
i hope im not bothering adding to this but i want to give some context.
the main issue was he was insisting that clover reused sounds from the giant gingerbread man from Shrek 2 and gave "evidence" for it but the evidence he gave sounded nothing remotely in common with any noise clover made i myself checked by slowing it down and speeding it up
I am far more annoyed by the ridiculous intensity of these topics. We're talking about monster sound effects, not Roe v. Wade. Your rhetoric's overheated; cut it out.
I don't think the audio clips here are completely conclusive, but if Erik Aadahl said in an interview that he modified elephant sounds for some of Kong's roars, that would be the exact sort of information I said I was looking for. What a monster's roar is derived from is not absurd detail. The problem is the difficulty of verifying what it is derived from by ourselves.
In the absence of information on the page, you look for something random, like a TV show or movie, and say that this monster roars when it does not. To me, that's childish. Our purpose is to present information, not to be a zoo where animals do not think or hear. Please stop.
Then stop vandalizing pages by removing citations that are needed and resorting to "Dude trust me" when you cannot provide proof or citations to the things you add.
I think the claims GameDestroyah2008 made about the sources of Baragon and KK76 roars are specific enough to be investigated. If neither of you did that before reverting the edits/making strange zoo analogies, you're really not helping. But a [citation needed] should almost never be removed if it isn't replaced with a citation.
I removed the „citation needed" thing, because i removed the things to which they were referring(King Ghidorah possibly using slowed-down lion bellows for his growls,Vastatosaurus Rex roars being used thrice).
The Offscreen-roar that the V-Rex makes at 0:50 of the footage is part of the growl one of the heads makes after awakening from his icy prison:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlli6kEEBM0
Its at the 2:13 mark
And the roar it makes at 1:01 is the same roar that Ghidorah makes after he is hit by Godzillas Atomic Breath in Boston:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v9EuGdwn_d4
Its at the 2:06 mark
Is the any reason you keep refusing to add Citations with whatever claims you keep making you once again made a claim about a roar being used (This time anime ghidorah) but provided no citation ( proof) at all.
