I put this up before realizing the scope of coverage of Wikizilla, and Zillaman rightfully marked it for deletion a while back. I could have sworn this was already deleted, but I guess not?

I don't remember if it was deleted once before, but we haven't made any decisions about what video games qualify, so I can't say for sure that it should be deleted.
Every Game here seems to directly be a Godzilla Kong or Gamera game though?
what else is there?
Crush, Crumble and Chomp! and Kaijuland Battles, for starters.
There are also many kaiju games we don't cover but don't really have a consistent argument against.
out of interest what could those be?
War of the Monsters?
Rampage games?
Earth Defense Force?
i cant think of much outside of those
i think a case for WOTM could be made seeing how Congar and Togera are clearly based on King Kong and Godzilla.
maybe a case for dawn of the monsters could be made seeing that Megadon seems to be a Godzilla type kaiju
Yeah, basically. If Crush, Crumble and Chomp! is on here just for having a Not-Zilla, there are multiple of those in EDF.
But I imagine with whatever rules we decide on, CCC! won't survive.
those rules excluding Godzilla influenced kaiju or something else in mind?
I'm interested and want to give some feedback
In the rules I drafted, a game would need to be based on/be the basis for a movie we cover or feature a monster we cover
i also forgot to ask how would the second part of that rule work? ( the basis for a movie we cover )
for example
Rampage and Monster Hunter have quite a few titles.
with the latter having a whole bunch of titles.
Our idea was that we'd only cover the specific game a movie is based on and not cascade. The Rampage movie is inspired by the original arcade game, so that's all we'd cover (plus the browser game that was based on the movie). I'm not sure of the specifics of Monster Hunter, but my understanding was that it's not based on any particular game, it just takes concepts from the franchise.
since shin ultra kaiju have feature videogames listed under them that the shin incarnations wasn't in would it be ok to do the same for George Ralph and Lizzie?
the Monster Hunter film Borrows largely from Monster Hunter World actually
the Human characters (and the Palico) from the MH world reflect the NPCs from that game.
While some monsters in the film are not in World (Gore Magala, Nescylla, Cephalos)
There's also a Dave & Buster's Rampage arcade game as well based on the film.
The movie's credits say it's simply based on the franchise.
i feel thats fair since i feel the Movie scope follows a similar ruleset
so how does CCC! not survive if it apparently has a Godzilla copy then unless im misunderstanding the previous statement?
Well, it doesn't have the actual Godzilla, it has "Goshilla." A game would need to have a legitimate appearance of a character, not just a parody.
parody doesn't count as being "based on" a monster if I'm understanding?
because im trying to understand if games with clear Homage kaiju in them count or not like we do films.
The "based on" part of what I said only applies to the movie or game. A game based on a movie or a game that was the basis for a movie.
so that would mean no games with clear homage characters allowed if I'm correct?
i assume this is because its a can of worms and numerous non kaiju/giant monster games have made references and homages to Kong and Godzilla.
That's the idea
if i recall kaijuland battles is only here because of its connection with the ill fated kaiju combat project which had staff who worked on the pipeworks godzilla games
I made a sandbox for this game before and it was deleted so?
