Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex (ゴジラ VS ガイガンレクス Gojira buiesu Gaigan Rekusu) is an upcoming 3D-animated Godzilla short film directed by Takuya Uenishi. It is a sequel to Uenishi's 2019 fan film G vs. G which he submitted to GEMSTONE's Godzilla contest, winning the chance to work with Toho in an official capacity. It will be played during the online event Godzilla Fest 2022 on November 3, 2022.
Fest Godzilla 3: Gigan's Attack (フェス・ゴジラ3 ガイガン来襲 Fesu Gojira Surī: Gaigan Raishū) is a live-action Godzilla short film directed by Kazuhiro Nakagawa.[1] Like Nakagawa's Godzilla vs. Hedorah before it, the short celebrates the 50th anniversary of Gigan's debut in the film Godzilla vs. Gigan. It, along with the CG-animated short Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex, premiered during Godzilla Fest 2022 on November 3, 2022: the first Godzilla Fest event to feature more than one original production. It employs a crowdfunded replica of the Showa Gigan suit sculpted by Shinichi Wakasa.
