Kyugo Sano (佐野 久伍 Sano Kyūgo) is a minor but consequential character in the 1960 Toho tokusatsu film The Human Vapor and its 2026 Netflix television remake, Human Vapor. In the film, he is a scientist whose experiments convert the librarian Mizuno into the Human Vapor. In the series, he is a former university professor who, in 1999, aided White Center in covering up the dangers of a meteorite near its headquarters, exposure to which transformed the worker Ren Tsutsumida into the Vapor. In both stories, the Vapor kills him in revenge.
