I’m thinking of creating a separate page for the Cryog Homeworld Destroyer
- I realize that this is essentially the same situation as with Godziban's “Ghidorah”s.- GojiraBoy1000 T (Talk) 4:20pm, 2 February 2025 (Eastern time)
- The rules that the staff settled upon were that all comic incarnations appearing within the same continuity can be collected onto a single page (and also that the only ones eligible for their own pages must appear in multiple works, which doesn't apply to the second Ghidorah anyways). I think it best to regard the Ghidorahs as a species in this instance. I don't see much supporting a second page, especially given how incredibly brief the appearance of the second Ghidorah is; if anything, I'd much sooner suggest regulating the second Ghidorah to the main King Ghidorah page alongside the other comic incarnations and keeping him off this one entirely, though I'm also happy with the current approach of having both on this page. --Shenanigans (talk) 17:14, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- I don't follow. What do you mean by “regulating to the main page alongside the other comic incarnations”? I need to be certain of what you intend to express. Keep it like this or move some of the information to elsewhere?- GojiraBoy1000 T (Talk) 4:57pm, 3 February 2025 (Eastern time)
- Yeah, that. Best to keep them both on one page. --Shenanigans (talk) 22:19, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Is the Mecha-KG information being moved to his main page in the comic section?- GojiraBoy1000 T (Talk) 5:23pm, 3 February 2025 (Eastern time)
We need to establish what we’re going to refer to them as
”Terrestrial” and “Alien” isn’t working out with me. At the moment, I’m thinking “Earth” and “Cryog” are better terms to use when referring to either King Ghidorah.
- Day 2 of acknowledging this.--GojiraBoy1000 T (Talk) 11:56pm, 6 March 2025 (Eastern time)
- The trouble is that the Cryog homeworld is never named, so that's sort of a mismatch of terms. Unfortunately, not much guidance from the creators; Matt Frank just called the KG who destroyed the Cryog's planet "Ghidorah" or "King Ghidorah", while Chris Mowry called him "the Showa King Ghidorah."
- We may just want to call them "first" and "second", clarifying in the article that this refers to the order in which they were introduced in the story.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 15:42, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I can get behind that. Probably the simplest option. --Shenanigans (talk) 17:13, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- I personally don't see what's wrong with "terrestrial" and "alien." Isn't that much more simple and plainly-understood than any of these other options? --Les (main | talk) 17:17, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
- I suppose I don't want to imply that the "terrestrial" Ghidorah is definitely an Earth monster. That may well have been the intent in Kingdom of Monsters, but in Rulers of Earth Rhizon calls that Ghidorah "a creature I had only heard of but never witnessed"; it seems unlikely that he could have heard of an Earth monster who had been entombed for eons.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 18:03, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
