Talk:Axis Mundi
Hawaii rift
Season 1 Episode 6 “Terrifying Miracles" ~23:30 time stamp
Tim tells Deputy Director Natalia Verdugo that on G-Day minus two, Godzilla emerged from a gamma spike west of Hawaii. After G-Day, Godzilla swam back to the same location afterwards, triggering another gamma spike.
Season 1 Episode 2 "Departure" ~33:30-33:40 time stamp
Bill Randa tells Keiko Randa that the USS Lawton went down 200 miles west of Pearl Harbor in 1943. Pearl Harbor as we all know is in Hawaii, being on the same island as Honolulu as a matter of fact and being only a few miles west.
“I know we hit something in the water that night. We figured it was a Japanese sub.”
Season 1 Episode 8 "Birthright" ~20:10 time stamp
Whilst making their map of where the Titans were located, Bill Randa and Keiko Randa first marked off the definitive sightings/encounters. After marking “G” on Bikini Atoll and Hateruma Island for Godzilla, Bill pointed to just off of Hawaii for the Ion Dragon.
Both Godzilla and the Ion Dragon have spent centuries hopping in and out of Axis Mundi, and the fact that both of them have appeared in the Pacific Ocean west of Hawaii can’t be a convenience since Tim acknowledges to Verdugo that Monarch detected gamma ray spikes at that spot when Godzilla swam to and fro there around G-Day.
- I mean, that's cool, I guess, but has there ever actually been a mention of a portal there? Like, explicitly stated? – Cheese Head (talk) 20:01, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- Not word-for-word nor directly, but it is kind of established by Season 1 that these gamma ray spikes are rifts or vile vortexes opening or closing up. The rifts and vortexes emit gamma rays measuring over 30 exahertz, the kind of radiation found in black holes and similar phenomenon. It only takes a sharp mind and a sufficient understanding of things to determine that the gamma ray spikes west of Hawaii were caused by Godzilla exiting and reentering the rift there. The Ion Dragon popping up to attack the Lawton at this spot can’t amount to a coincidence since it regularly goes through the rifts in and fro Axis Mundi too. - GojiraBoy1000 T (talk) 4:48pm, April 17th 2026
