Is it a Fan film or something?
No, it is not a fan-film but is actually part of the Clover-verse. When watching the DVD version of the movie, at the special features there is a website at the bottom called, "TheCloverfieldFiles.com" which leads to that film.
It's a fanfilm.

cloverfieldfiles.com (no "the") was a Paramount site you could visit to watch behind-the-scenes clips. Since it ran on Flash, it is now extremely difficult to view, but a YouTube channel called PROJECT CLOVERFIELD ARCHIVE CLOVERFIELD has uploaded all the clips.
The Cloverfield Files is a 2019 fan film (it says so itself at 13:14).

Again, the link on the DVD doesn't have a "the" in it. https://www.thecloverfieldfiles.com/ doesn't lead anywhere.
