Its probably destroyed due to the philipines weather conditions. I think there is still a chance

Considering on how only 30 percent on philipino films end up surviving..... i dont realy think so....

As a native resident, it isn't because of weather conditions or disasters. It is because the studios that produced them were shut down. A well-known example is Sampaguita Pictures. The films were simply lost because they decided not to re-release them after their initial release.

Tokyo 1960 was not released anywhere else after its initial release, even local sources doesn't mention it, as if it was forgotten through time.

Maybe it was the mandela effect or something. Tokyo 1960 is proof parallel universes exist!

I forgot to mention; the country has archives for films, named National Film Archives of the Philippines. For example, all of films produced by Sampaguita Pictures are stored there. It is possible that Tokyo 1960 was archived and stored there, but no one knows yet because no one has managed to enter there and browse the library. Also, even if it exists, you can't upload or share the full movie online due to copyright reasons.

It's because everything is not posted online; you can see images of their physical library. The other option is going there physically.

Why not send a professional email inquiring if they have any film elements for it? Or, at the very least, if they have any information about it at all. I think that's probably the best lead for anything new on this film at this point.
