Hey so why is the vine snake from the show listed as seperate from the snake from the book on the monsterverse monster list if the description in the book matches the creature in the show
The one in the novelization was significantly larger and didn't have those leaves sprouting out of it. I don't think we can assume they're meant to be the same creature, especially since the one in the novelization is non-canon.
Im also really confused on how is the new big guy kraken if na kika was also kraken.
Kraken was only a nickname for Na Kika. It may not be the official name of the new guy either.
It seems like there is a myth of the Kraken in the Monsterverse that average people are aware of, just like in real life.
Yeah but the Monsteverse has implied a single Titan can be behind multiple mythical creatures like Behemoth also being the Mapinguari, i figured it was the Same situation with Na Kika also being the Kraken which makes the new guy confusing, also aint most titans named after real world myths and cryptids tho
I figured people in-universe might had known about those mythologies before ever finding out that titans are real.
My point is that in both instances, "Kraken" is being applied by average people and not by Monarch leadership. Presumably when Monarch classifies a Titan using a name from mythology, they are declaring that that Titan inspired said myth. But anybody can call a giant octopus "Kraken" off the top of their head, just as they might in the real world.
I dont recall any of the characters in the show calling it a kraken
They just called it sea monster or squid.
I was just going off what Duffield said in his tweet, but I haven't seen it to confirm.
also in case if any of you was wondering about the Ant and the Aloe Turtle and their relation to Snarehunters and Magma Turtle
Here's hoping there's some canon material in the future that clears some of these things up.
Certainly it meets the criteria, but I haven't seen anything official that calls it one.

It's a Titan.
I assumed you saw the responses when he was questioned about Na Kika?

can we have an infobox pic for kongs animated appearance it is slightly different than his live action one.
I dunno, feels similar to having tabbers for the various Showa Godzilla suits, or the animated Godzilla '98.
i wasn't sure i felt the design differences between the two was justifiable enough and to be fair he doesn't have like over a whole ton of different designs compared to the showa godzilla the sheer number of the different designs showagoji used is why i think there isn't any Tabs on his page
So should we actually make a separate monsterverse page for Kraken or simply put it on the already existing page. It's not like there is nothing to write, it's got about as much information as Titans like Na Kika or Amhuluk, so I'd say it's relevant enough to get its own page.
Yes, my thinking is that it should be a separate page because it isn't necessarily THE mythological Kraken, unlike the GKOTM Titans who are all implied to have inspired their namesake myths. As far as Duffield has said, it sounds like he considers Kraken to be a nickname given by the characters (even though I've been told no such dialogue is in the final show).
and not to mention the fact it might get an entirely different name later down the road if Legendary makes lore profiles on the monsters
So do we keep Kraken as its "official" name until further information or do we simply call it Sea monster ?
can someone rip the roars for the Hawk Toku society didn't include it in his video for whatever reason.
Ok, so I made my (first ever) sandbox for the Kraken User:Kaiju lord/Sandbox/Kraken Please tell me if there is anything wrong with it so I can learn more about the process.
Sorry for the belated reply, but a Kraken page is already in the works here.
So i didnt notice this til the model sheet but it seems the Hawk actually aged in the show
