I do not appreciate the hostile tone you used in your edit summary, but I suppose I'm going to have to make my case here because I'm tired of undoing edits.

I don't see what the problem is with having the image in the infbox because, and I cannot stress this enough, it's another form. It's not the same identical design as Kaiju No. 9's appearance we've seen up to this point. We see his body pulsate as it begins to change in mass, so there's clearly a difference going on here, it's only slightly harder to see because of the dark lighting in the scene. And I disagree on not being able to go off the manga because, while I understand it's a seperate work, the anime is still derivitive off it and an adaptation. It's clearly trying to emulate the same exact scene shown here and here. The difference is obviously the length of the scene and the angles, but it's definitely trying to adapt the same scene.

I get that the image I used isn't ideal, nor shows a whole lot of the design, but unfortunately, it's the best shot we get, and different forms are usually added for Kaiju anyways.

Now, as for what you said about me, not once did I ever throw a tantrum just because I didn't get my way. I kept undoing the edits because I disagreed, not because I was angry, and I do not appreciate you making comments like that. Also, I would suggest not saying something like, "I'm not going to ask you again," as you are not an admin. I'm still open to discuss this if you or @Ultraman rides a dragon cuz yes are willing to.

Look, its indistinguishable from the normal Number 9. To have what amounts to the very top of his Torso and his head which are unchanged in the image you want is kind of ridiculous. Its even less difference than 1974 and 1975 Mechagodzilla. I recommend we just wait for season 2 because having it there feels like a spoiler at the moment. We do not know if we can get the manga here, so having it anime only is best. And an anime only person is not going to know hes evolved there. I have to disagree, the differences are there and noticeable. Just because his new form isn't 100% radically different in appearance doesn't mean it doesn't merit its own image. And I'm not saying we have to cover the manga, I'm just saying that it's an adaptation of said manga, so, naturally, it's portraying the same scene and thus, it's meant to be a new form.

I feel like it being a "spoiler" isn't the strongest argument to make here, considering that the scene makes it clear that he molted his form. It focused on his shed skin at one point, and there's a spoiler warning at the top of his section of the page. And the anime did show the stronger form, it just didn't put it out in a bright light.

I would prefer if an admin were to weigh in on what they think, so I'm willing to wait.

I haven't watched the episode yet, but the character's page currently says, "After molting his skin, Kaiju No. 9 became more muscular and his skin turned into a brownish-gray color." If that's accurate, I don't see why he shouldn't have an extra infobox image.

In the future, please converse using talk pages immediately when there's an editing disagreement like this. As you've demonstrated, SpaceGodzillaIsKing, the character limit on edit summaries can impede communication, and tempers tend to flare when page contents are continually being changed.

The image doesn't really depict what's being described (brown colors, muscles) and it looks indistinguishable from his initial form, if George's medium sized form didn't get an image then I'm not sure why these should, it should stay as a mention in the forms section until season 2.

Because the regular design and the evolved form aren't identical. George barely changes design throughout the film between his medium and giant forms except with maybe a few details here and there, and of course, his size. Kaiju No. 9 changes body structure and has a completely seperate colorization. They're not the exact same.

I will admit that the image I used for the infobox doesn't show much of the design, but if we compare the two in this (brightened) picture, we can see the differences in skin tone. We also see him change in mass at this moment.

Im not seeing the differences in the images. We need a better shot if youre dead set on having it. Edit: Didnt see the other guy posted the same images.

Unfortunately, this is the best shot we have of this form, but I don't think it not showing the whole design should be a limiting factor. Take this image, for example. It doesn't show the whole design, nor a lot of the differences, but it was accepted as the infobox image for the Minus One Godzilla's initial form before a better look at him was available.

Les and I have been going over every Toho-funded anime these last few days to see what other shows will qualify for coverage on the site once we tweak the scope rules to let in Kaiju No. 8. Frankly, this thread hasn't been my priority; it's a low-stakes dispute on an unpublished page.

I took a look at the scene and it's clear to me that the second Kaiju No. 9 has a different skin color. The scene is indeed quite dark - the key shot is only legible on one of my monitors - so here's the original and a brightened version.

But now I'm going to make things worse - without the context from the manga, a viewer of this scene wouldn't necessarily think that the new Kaiju No. 9 is the same individual as the old one. This isn't the character talking to his molted, split-open shell; both No. 9s are moving and appear to be talking to each other. We see a Roomba attempt to vacuum up what might be some molted skin, but all in all it's a very different scene. The anime might well be going in a different direction than the manga with this character. (To answer a question from earlier - no, we won't be covering the manga. It's not practical with all the other works on the site that are adapted from manga, especially Attack on Titan.) Now, I do see on the Kaiju No. 8 wiki that manga!Kaiju No. 9 can make copies of himself. Has this been demonstrated in the show yet, outside of (potentially) this scene?

In the anime so far, this is the only scene where it's been demonstrated. Later on in the manga, Kaiju No. 9 made two more clones of himself, which call each other "Beta" and "Gamma", but this, of course, hasn't been adapted yet.

In that case, the safest thing to do is strike the new-form infobox image for now and describe the scene plainly without drawing any conclusions; basically, there are two Kaiju No. 9s, one of them different in appearance than the creature we've seen previously, and their relationship isn't clarified.

Personally, I don't think it's a very good infobox image. If it is indeed a different form, then I concur that it should be represented, but only if there's an image that actually demonstrates its differences. Otherwise it's of no benefit to the reader.

It is a seperate form, but since there's no other shot that gives us a good look at it, I'm willing to let it be.

No one is arguing that it isn't a separate form, Dude, we are debating if it is redundant to feature in the infobox because none of the changes are at all obvious in the anime which personally i feel it's not noteworthy to showcase in the infobox since the changes if any are so unnoticeable and miniscule at this moment in time, Pretty sure there is a reason why the site doesn't infobox every Showa era Godzilla design on his page and that sorta applies here.

Okay, this is going to be my last contribution to this discussion. I was just responding to Les' sentence, "If it is indeed a different form, then I concur that it should be represented," which I was merely confirming that it was. And he already concurred that it should be represented if it's a different form. But since there isn't a good angle of No. 9's whole body, I'm letting it be.

Also, I don't think the Showa Godzilla's the best comparison considering the changes to each suit aren't meant to be new forms.
