Taihei is an friendly, fraternal Kaijin character who appears as a main protagonist in the 2010 Tokusatsu drama series Daimajin Kanon produced in part by Kadokawa. Taihei is a benevolent yokai called an Onbake, who was born from the love a man in Edo-period Japan had for his battle helmet. His human form is played by Hidekazu Mashima, but while in his true form and for special effects shots was played by the suit actor Makoto Ito.
