Please don’t revert image revisions when they were changed for a reason. I’m happy to talk them over, but going back and forth with the reversions is not going to solve anything.

I replaced the Dogora icon because, even though it has smaller dimensions, it’s at original resolution and not artificially upscaled. The version you’re uploading has clearly been upscaled and lost some of its sharpness - this is not preferable for our purposes.

As for the Jet Jaguar icon, it’s possible I’m wrong but it looks to be a re-creation of the icon using a render of JJ’s model from Unleashed. We do not allow such re-creations; any replacement should be directly scanned off of a piece of merchandise (I believe I have a better version of it that I can upload anyway).

I do apologize if I came out as rude, not my intention. I wanted to talk to you about it but I didn't know how to get to you. There are still many things in Wikizilla that I don't know how to handle them.

Again, allow me to explain my actions.

The Jet Jaguar icon: For too long I saw the same icon with low quality, and when I saw the pop socket I took it as an opportunity to carefully restore the icon using the official artwork. In my mind (without consulting you; again, I apologize for coming out as rude), I thought I was helping and simply assumed (which was bad on my side) that you thought it wasn't a right image to be used. So, the Jet Jaguar image, technically is a restoration while still using the official icon artwork.

The Dogora icon: That one I can accept being replaced. I simply found it on google and compared it to the low quality icon seen in the icon gallery and my instinct was "let me upload this to help out". In my reasoning, I just saw the Dogora icon the same way I saw the Gorosaurus or Kumonga icon, being upscaled. But since you're an official moderator, you know more than me about that.

Having said those things, my most sincere apologies. I thought I was helping, and I didn't know how to contact you because there are still things in Wikizilla that I don't know how to handle them. (Heck, I struggled adding extra information on the Griffon page).

You're all good. If it came from the pop socket, then the Jet Jaguar icon is fine. I don't mind removing the little trademark notice, I just didn't want it to be wholly recreated. I knew you had done re-creations in the past (like putting "Keizer Ghidorah" on the Monster X II icon), so I wrongly assumed this one was of your own creation.

As for the Dogora icon, it's not just that the size has been increased, but it looks like it was run through some kind of algorithm to smooth out the pixelation. Neither the Gorosaurus nor Kumonga icons were upscaled as you are implying; they were scanned off the back of Classic Media's Godzilla's Revenge DVD.

The link you posted leads to a private Facebook group whose posts cannot be viewed by those not in the group. While we prefer links in most cases, in this case a screenshot of Richard Kao's comment would be better.
