  • Dagahra is spotted by the United States nuclear submarine Seawolf at the point of 47 degrees 9 minutes south latitude, 126 degrees 43 minutes west longitude. Two weeks later, Dagahra engages in battle with the American Navy in the waters near American Samoa and is injured before fleeing. Barem released by Dagahra wash ashore in Pago Pago, spreading a bacterial infection that kills one-third of the population. On Christmas Day, Dagahra makes landfall in Sydney and destroys it before moving on to Newcastle. The Australian military launches an attack that fatally wounds Dagahra, who dies out at sea and unleashes huge amounts of Barem into Australian waters. This triggers a plague and famine known as the Red Christmas Scourge, which ultimately leads to the deaths of 3 million people and the collapse of the nation of Australia. In total, an estimated 6.7 million people are killed or wounded in Dagahra's attack. (GODZILLA: Monster Apocalypse and GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters)
