I recently had an idea (I'm probably not the first to come up with this but still).

A Godzilla monster of the week TV show (similar to the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla series or Godzilla: The Series) but featuring original Toho monsters and perhaps obscure or new creations as well. I'd imagine the Godzilla incarnation behaving like the Heisei Godzilla crossed with the Godzilla from Godzilla: The Series where he's nearly always the lesser of two evils but still potentially dangerous. Maybe also have two or three-part episodes for characters like King Ghidorah, Gigan, Biollante or Destoroyah and a DAM/GFW type of finale.

So, in summary, Godzilla: The Series but with Toho Kaiju. (The Monster Wars trilogy is kinda like DAM and FW.) I like it.

Basically yes but also with a less friendly Godzilla (he wouldn't socialise with the humans in the same way as the Godzillas from the Hanna-Barbera series or Godzilla: The Series).

It's such an obvious winner that I'm amazed it's never happened (sort of like how video game developers have done just about everything but make a Godzilla fighting game as of late). At least we got the Gamera version last year.

Perhaps Gigan could have an arc similar to the concepts for the "Moguera" monster in GTS, where it fights Godzilla in an organic form and is defeated, only to be rebuilt as a cyborg and hunt him down again.

Maybe this could also be combined with Pipijuras elements where he's an alien soldier sent to Earth to destroy it. In short: Gigan is sent to Earth as a biological organism -> he starts destroying stuff but is killed by Godzilla -> he is turned into a cyborg by humans hoping to use him as an anti-kaiju weapon but breaks free from their control and continues his mission as he has his memories intact despite his ordeal -> Godzilla has to fight him again but has more difficulty due to his enhancements. This story arc could also foreshadow the DAM/GFW finale where his masters use Earth-controlled kaiju and a battalion of organic Gigans (referred to as "Borodans") in a last attempt to take over Earth.

Though to make it fairer the original Gigan would've been a particularly strong "Borodan", even as an organic lifeform, compared to the ones in the finale.
