These proportionally do not look the same, the spines very much are smaller than what they are in both GKOTM and GvK

the head is CLEARLY bigger than the design in GvK why does something self evident just by looking at it need an interview?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

Well, the interviews weren't the only things I was looking at, but you've ignored the difference in perspective and the other screenshot, so oh well. I'm factoring in interviews because Konrad has talked about the tweaks to the existing GareGoji and DougheGoji models repeatedly (1 | 2 | 3) without ever mentioning slimming them down or making the dorsal plates smaller. Doesn't that strike you as odd, if the models were indeed changed in those ways?

Zillaman98 (talkcontribs)

Except the garegoji model was indeed slimmed down for the 1950's people compared the 1950s with the 2014 movie and he Noticeably appears thinner and with even smaller dorsal fins.

Les (talkcontribs)

Can you show the evidence for the 1950s spines being smaller than in 2014?

To me this seems like another placebo. Compare that MLoM pic with this, and they look exactly the same, if not the G14's spines a little smaller this time. All of this stuff is way too subjective and I'm kind of getting to the end of my rope here.

Zillaman98 (talkcontribs)

Why did you delete actual photographic proof of the actual side by side of godzilla in episode 3 and g14 showing he was indeed not as bulky

That just seems really odd

Jesus man, am I on trial? Putting two pictures next to each other isn't "proof", and it doesn't need to be uploaded if it's not going on a page.

ABB and I have already agreed in this thread that the other "changes" you think you're seeing can probably be explained by perspective, and I don't think this is any different. The model looks exactly the same in the wide shot of him standing in the sea - it's only the close-up when he's approaching the bomb that I can even see an argument, and even that might be as simple as focal length. Not to mention, slimming Godzilla down would be a major fundamental change to the model and yet Konrad has not mentioned such a thing a single time across all the interviews where he's been asked. It's too subjective. I don't want this kind of thing published.

I think that's the case. It should be taken into account the fact that the above two images from ep 6 aren't straight on from the side, they are looking up at him from an angle.
