Qoute:"My goal to make a Godzilla film,that makes fans really proud of me". My first debut in WikiZilla,i started the franchise with the 1998 film,then later the 2014 film,and then i moved into the old movies.I'll be the first Wikizilla staff to become a film director,to make a Godzilla film on my own.
Godzilla Films i Watched
This was my first introduction to the Franchise. Though in my hometown ,They only broadcast American Godzilla films , instead of the others. It's not as bad as i think it would be,but Hollywood did a fantastic job of updating Godzilla's design and abilities,unlike the Japanese Godzilla,this Godzilla is more fast and extremly intellegint and very animilastic. They gave him more personality in this film,This is what other Godzilla films lack.The CGI scenes are not that great like the Jurrasic Park movies,but the action scenes are extremley very tenacious,somewhat similar to Tom and Jerry,this more of Cat and mouse chase ,than being a action packed film,the tenacious action in this film was later reused for GMK and KOTM.Look i haven't seen the full movie of GMK,i only seen bits and pieces of it.This movie is not that bad,but didn't very well at the box office.
This is the perfect start of the Monsterverse.This movie did a excellent job of modernising Godzilla. The film's characters are bit boring,my personal favourite part of the film was the realistic elements, such as Godzilla's fighting style and movements being based on Bears and Komodo dragons I tolerate the lack of monster action,this time,but i don't want to ever see the suspense vibe from Alien,Jaws and Close Encounters of Third Kind.
This movie was also good,having Godzilla return to his destructive force of nature roots again.You can't compare this movie to the 2014 film. Shinji Higuchi and Hideaki Anno made this movie independently,the 2014 film was "Man vs Nature". This movie is political thriller. Godzilla had the worst personality in this film,i expected something better from Hideaki Anno, director of Neon Genesis Evangelion,a series where the Kaiju have no personality and just move. This movie doesn't have much Evangelion references,from the tone,the characters and soundtrack. Kong: Skull Island had more Evangelion vibe than this film.
Worst sequel in the entire Godzilla Franchise. I only have seen bits of pieces of the first film and Planet Eater. This is what we get,when it comes to Toho's idea to "Appeal Women" strategy. The directors lied to the whole public,instead they decided to just rehash the ending of the first film,where they lure Godzilla,trap him and then fail to kill him. Better alternative there I guarantee it,that was definitely worth doing over,not giving us something different from the first film.
No this is not a sequel to Godzilla 2000: Millennium,This movie took place in a world where Serizawa never used the Oxygen Destroyer to kill Godzilla. The plot is quite similar to Godzilla 2000.The monster scenes were quite great,but the story is weak,so i hated it.
Well this movie is more of a David and Goliath plot,i kinda enjoyed it,this movie is bit intresting. Banno went a bit beserk in here,such as Godzilla uses his atomic breath to fly and Hedorah flying around the cities,turning people into skeletons.Well the story was good though,but the movie shouldn't be treated more like a Slapstick film,to be hone
This Film is definately a cinematic masterpiece of the 70s,Godzilla and Anguirus are 1000 percent the main characters of this film,They all had great conversation through speech bubbles.But why people are finding the cpnversation so funny,The Kaiju themselves don't know how to speak human,and first of all Godzilla is not a big dumb monster that says roar and break stuff,he's nature's wrath,this what makes Godzilla distinct.If you find this conversation funny,then you're an idiot.This is one of my favourite Showa Godzilla movies ever.
Unlike many Showa Godzilla films.This movie took place in the 20th Century,were monsters are contaimed in an island where they peacefully dominate,the human characters guard them, only to prevent them from terrorizing cities.The Killak aliens attempt to use the Kaiju to take over the world,while humans attempt to find a way to stop the invasion. This is very impressive,it's more like Saving a Zoo from alien invasion,the plot of this film later influenced Godzilla (2014 film),Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the upcoming Godzilla vs Kong.
====Godzilla: King of the Monsters====
Well after the anime trilogy is now dead,we hardcore fans finally got always what we wanted,instead of just wasting our time on the human story. This movie now seems to be an algamation of the 2014 film,the 1998 film,Shin Godzilla and the Showa movies. Unlike the 2014 film, Godzilla is now treated as the main character of the film,instead of the humans.The Human characters roles ar very similar to the anime trilogy characters: Mark Russell:Like his predecessor Haruo Sakaki,he wants Godzilla dead, who grewed up with such obsession to kill him,He also has as the attitude of Joseph Brody,Ford Brody and Rando Yaguchi,but unlike Haruo,he has a change of heart.I'll love to see Godzilla villainous actions on him,when Godzilla vs Kong comes out. Ilene Chen :Her hairstyle is very similar to Yuko Tani,but her personality is similar to Kayoco Anne Paterrson,But unlike Yuko.She hugged Serizawa!! Jackson Barnes:He reminds me of Rilu-elu Belu-be,look at his face. Rick Stanton:I think he might be similar to Adam Bindewald,Eliott Leland or Martin Lazzari. The biggest thing of all was Emma Russell,she's the Kilakk Queen of the Monstervese. While Madison Russell she's the child version of Miki Saegusa and Emiko Yamane.
Other Kaiju Films I Watched
This film was a masterpiece, Kong is now the star and the household name of this movie , i love Kaiju movies , when you have monsters as the forefront of the story as characters instead of just being big dumb monsters that roar and break stuff(Especially Godzilla). Like War of the Gargantuas you don't go to this movie , because you're like you know i just wanna see Conrad and Weaver in action , no you go to this movie because you're like No i just want to see Kong in action . 5 out of 5 stars.
