GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle
When the Central Committee learned of the fate of the United Earth troops sent to Earth to kill Godzilla, Takeshi J. Hamamoto immediately asked Mori how they should proceed. Halu-elu Dolu-do was insistent that they could not return to Earth anymore, and warned that Godzilla might notice the Aratrum. When a simulation showed that Godzilla's atomic breath would be able to strike the ship, Hamamoto and Dolu-do argued over whether to search for survivors or retreat, while Endurph asserted that the Exif were opposed to abandoning survivors. Mori compromised by saying they would retreat to the Moon's orbit and send Reconnaissance Drones to search for survivors. If no signs of survivors were detected after 48 hours, Mori declared that they would abandon the Earth.
Contact was successfully made with a large number of survivors, and Mori assembled with the rest of the Central Committee to greet a returning Landing Ship. To their shock, only Corporal Marco Ghione and two others were aboard the ship. Hamamoto demanded to know where the others were, but Mori immediately realized Captain Haruo Sakaki had stayed behind to fight Godzilla. Mori made contact with Haruo over a monitor in Mechagodzilla City to try and convince him to return to the Aratrum. Haruo declared that if staying behind to kill Godzilla was disobeying the Central Committee's orders, then he was willing to accept any punishment. Haruo then cut off the communication before Mori could respond. Hamamoto later approached Mori and informed him that the Exif and Bilusaludo aboard the ship were no longer in favor of abandoning Earth, but rather desired to assemble in Mechagodzilla City to help carry out the anti-Godzilla operation.
