"The King Who Rends the Dark" (闇を切り裂く怪獣王, Yami o Kirisaku Kaijū-ō, lit. "The King of the Monsters Who Rends the Dark") is the 18th episode of Godziburst and its season 3 finale. Directed by Masami Fujita, it premiered on the BANDAI OFFICIAL YouTube channel on March 27, 2026.
Plot
The crustacean beast, now in his ultimate and more powerful form dubbed King Destoroyah, first decided to get rid of Mechagodzilla. He charged up his horn struck the robot using his powered up Variable Slicer, sending it flying into a wall and shutting it down. Thunder Godzilla, enraged after witnessing the defeat of his ally, goes on to attack the enemy. Before he even had a chance to attack, King Destoroyah started stomping him into the ground repeatedly, leaving him lying in a crater. The dark king flies away from Thunder Godzilla and starts charging his Burst Attack, the All Destroy, from a distance. The lying Thunder Godzilla fires his beam attack at the enemy, but just before it could reach him, King Destoroyah was done charging his. The wide beam of dark energy immediately overpowers Thunder Godzilla's and strikes him, causing a massive explosion. King Destoroyah returns to his throne and roars victoriously, then resumes the invasion of the Adventureverse from afar. Suddenly, Thunder Godzilla stands back up and fires his Lightning Ray at the sky, causing lightning bolts to strike down behind him. Portals start appearing right where the bolts of lightning struck, and from them emerge his kin: 1954, 1991, 2004, 2016 and Burning Millennium Godzillas. With the Godzillas all lined up and ready to aid their "brother" against the powers of darkness, they charge up and fire their beams at the enemy. King Destoroyah is, despite being continuously struck by five different beams, able to withstand the attack. Thunder Godzilla joins in with his Lightning Ray and the combined beam attacks manage to pierce through both Destoroyah and his throne throne, blowing the king of darkness up into pieces and finally putting an end to the war he declared. The victorious Godzillas roar in unison and SY-3 thanks them for their aid. The main crew—Mechagodzilla, Garuda, SY-3, LittleGodzilla, Anguirus and Thunder Godzilla—take off in the SY-3 Tower and leave the hellish place behind them for good.
