"The Man from K.O.N.G." (消えたボンド教授,   Kieta Bondo Kyōju, lit. "Professor Bond Disappeared") is the second segment of the 15th episode of The King Kong Show. It aired on December 17, 1966, after "The Trojan Horse" and the Tom of T.H.U.M.B. episode "Runt of 1,000 Faces".[1] This segment has never been released on home video and is currently only available as a file ripped from a VHS recording.

Plot

While the Bond family is vacationing in an amusement park, they are secretly watched by one Mr. Sabi, who tasks his subordinate with retrieving Professor Bond so he can be forced to conduct research in their home country. The underling follows the Bonds into the Tunnel of Horrors ride and forces them out a back door at gunpoint. Bond knocks the man's gun away and wrestles him to the ground while he bids his children to run. Mr. Sabi then arrives in a big white car and Bond is loaded in. The children go to the Science Foundation, the organization keeping Kong safe during their vacation, and describe their situation to an intelligence officer named Mr. Austin. They confess that they would be unable to identify the kidnappers in a lineup and suggest instead that Kong track their father's scent. Austin is acquainted with Kong for the first time and accompanies the group to investigate the Tunnel of Horrors. Kong sniffs out Professor Bond's hat at the scene, and sets off after him. Meanwhile, the professor stands with his captors in a field, who assure him any further resistance will be met with "much unpleasantness". A plane lands nearby to take Bond away forever. Kong leads the gang into the countryside, which is met with skepticism by Mr. Austin, but they soon spot the plane and approach it. Bond hears Kong, but is hastened onto the plane by Sabi, and they begin to take off. They nearly fly right into Kong, but the plane's jets allow it incredible maneuverability, and it veers away. Bond then leaps on the pilot and wrestles the controls from him, causing the plane to fly erratically before diving toward Kong. Kong tears the cockpit from the rest of the vehicle and throws the flaming wreckage away. Austin wrenches a hatch open to allow Bond and the pilot to flee. Kong chokes out the fire by surrounding it with his body, then plucks the remaining men out of the cockpit and tosses them behind him, their bodies exploding on impact. Back at Science Foundation headquarters, Austin congratulates Kong on his job well done, and offers him a job as a secret agent. Kong refuses.
