The MusukoGoji (息子ゴジ) is the Godzilla suit design used in the 1967 Godzilla film Son of Godzilla
Name
The MusukoGoji's name comes from Son of Godzilla's Japanese title, specifically the word musuko (息子), meaning son, and Goji, which comes from Godzilla's Japanese name, Gojira (ゴジラ).
Detail
The MusukoGoji has a somewhat human-like head with big, high-set eyes, heavy lids and a stubby nose, which was done to make the suit more closely resemble Minilla. Godzilla's overall look was changed to still look intimidating, but at the same time look like a father figure. A much longer and thicker neck was given to this Godzilla to try and make him look much taller than his son. This suit would be used again in the film Godzilla vs. Gigan, for the film's swimming scenes. When this suit was used in scenes where Godzilla was sitting, parts of the suit's legs appeared to concertina inwards, making the suit's legs look stumpy.

Trivia
- This suit was made much larger than previous Godzilla suits in order to make Godzilla appear taller than Minilla. For this reason, veteran Godzilla suit actor Haruo Nakajima was limited to playing Godzilla in water tank footage using the previous Godzilla costume. Baseball player Seiji Onaka was instead cast as the main Godzilla performer. Onaka injured his hand early in filming, however, and subsequently was replaced by Hiroshi Sekita, better known for playing Sanda opposite Nakajima in The War of the Gargantuas. Incidentally, Nakajima would later don the MusukoGoji for the filming of swimming scenes in Toho's "Big Tank" for Godzilla vs. Gigan.
