Wikizilla's character article guidelines are a set of properties an article should have to properly write and format a character page on Wikizilla. It is not an absolute law, but it should not be deviated from without a valid rationale.

Guidelines

What is a character article?

A character article, is, as it sounds, an article documenting a human or humanoid character in a kaiju film or series.

Who needs an article

Not every character deserves an article. Background characters and film extras will not receive articles. Furthermore, only the main protagonists and antagonists should have articles. If a character is not or not very significant in the film or series, they are not significant here.

Color Coding

A character article should be color coded through the Types system to match the film or series that the character is from. For example, if a film's types are Fire and Fighting, a character's types should be Fire and Fighting.

Content

A character's article should not be a recap of the film or series they appear in. The article needs only to contain what that character did in the story. A character article should be written using past tense language. The History section on a character's page should include at least a basic description of their screentime and role in the story, and should not simply be left blank.

Image

A Character Article's image should be a screenshot taken from the DVD or Blu-Ray, and be of their face at a clear enough resolution to tell what they look like on a regular basis. While these are not strictly enforced, a character image will not retain "black bars" at the sides or top and bottom of the image.

Editing syntax

A character's film appearance should be noted like so:

Heading: History
Subheading: Film era
Sub-Subheading: Film

It should be noted that only characters from Japanese projects or films from the Legendary era should be classified into film eras. Characters from franchises like King Kong should be noted like so:

Heading: History
Subheading: Film
