What is civility?
Civility is a standard of conduct that editors should follow. In short, it means treat people politely and with respect even if you are disagreeing with them.
What is not civil?
Uncivil behavior consists of any behavior designed or intended to create stress or conflict.
This includes but is not limited to; insulting other users, rudeness, terse or aggressive behaviors, trolling, and excessive profanity.
Disruptive editing is closely related to not being civil, although it is possible to edit tendentiously without being uncivil.
