The Yokai Monsters series (妖怪シリーズ is a series of Yōkai Shirīzu, lit. Yokai Series)tokusatsu horror films produced by Daiei and its eventual parent company, Kadokawa, which feature Japanese monsters from mythology known as Yokai (妖怪. The first three films were directed by Yōkai, lit. Strange Things)Kimiyoshi Yasuda and Yoshiyuki Kuroda from 1968 to 1969, while Takashi Miike directed the two 21st-century films.
