In fiction
- June: A flock of Griffons attack Egypt, leading to the fall of the capital city of Cairo. Failure to eradicate the early Griffons result in large numbers of them.[6] (GODZILLA: Monster Apocalypse)
- Monarch prepares to undertake an expedition into the Hollow Earth through a Vile Vortex on Skull Island. However, a storm left behind by King Ghidorah closes in on the island, allowing for the Titan Camazotz to surface as the island is plunged into darkness. Kong battles with the King of the Deep, and after an extensive battle, drives him back to the Hollow Earth. (Kingdom Kong)
- Balzarr arrives on Earth and systematically attacks the G.T.D.I.'s Giga Energy reserves, destroying all Super Aegis units in the process save for five, who unite as R.O.J.A.K. Rawa defeats Gorogong and absorbs the Giga Energy stored in the Luana Island artifact, proceeding to rile up Titans around the world so the strongest absorb energy and tire themselves out. Balzarr travels in his wake, attacking the weakened Titans and collecting their Giga Energy. The G.T.D.I. stretches its forces thin and deploys numerous MechaJURAS units to allow Gigaman and Thundatross to hunt down Rawa; they catch up to the Dragon King over Yefan City, China, but divert to defend against an onslaught of Titans. R.O.J.A.K. joins the pair, vengefully hunting down Balzarr, who by then has followed Rawa to Siberia. Balzarr fights the heroes and Rawa before the two S-Class Titans merge together into Zargorah and absorb Giga Energy the world over, save for Gigaman's strain. The Champion of Justice assumes a powerful new form granted by Gaya blasts Zargorah into Hollow Earth. Zargorah absorbs the Giga Core and emerges in its true form to engage Gaya Gigaman in prolonged combat, eventually engaging in a beam lock with the hero. Aided by energy from Thundatross and R.O.J.A.K., Gaya Gigaman forces Zargorah to attempt to self-destruct and destroy the planet. Gaya Gigaman sacrifices himself to shield Zargorah's blast, allowing the Giga Core to remain stable and the Earth to recover, though the fates of Rawa, Balzarr, Gaya, Gigaman, and his human form Sho are left unknown.
