When Gota Yamada caught a young boy named Goro stealing fruit, Takeshi invited him in for a free meal and Jun and Shosuke listened to him explain himself. When his father went missing, Goro walked to Tokyo to search for him with only water to drink, and was starving by the time he arrived. Jun admired his courage, and he did regret being forced to turn to theft, so they banded together to search the city with pictures of the man to gather leads. While they were out, Shosuke spotted Goro's father, but he seemed not to recognize his son. This led to them being kidnapped by the Die-Die Gang, and tossed in the back of one of their work trucks. They were brought to a Die-Die Gang base in the countryside, where they were kept tied up. When Rainbowman began to menace the base, they were brought out as an ultimatum: Rainbowman would either stop his attack, or the children would be shot. Goro's father, who had been freed of his mind control, used construction equipment to scare the gang off, and Rainbowman set the kids free. When Rainbowman had defeated the gang, Jun and the others said goodbye to Goro and his father at the train station.
"Father Ichiro is Alive!"
Jun and Shosuke spot Pastel Petite
"The End of Dongolos"
On Jun's birthday, Rainbowman finally defeated the Die-Die Gang. While waiting for her brother to arrive at her birthday party, Jun was shocked and delighted when he came home with their long-missing and thought dead father, Ichiro Yamato, as a birthday present. The two them then embraced for the first time in a very long time.
