"The Sage of Grudges, Chibi Hedorah" (怨念の賢者 ちびヘドラ,   Onnen no Kenja: Chibi Hedora) is the eighth episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on May 20, 2023. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that May 29.

Plot

In a classroom on Monster Island, Chibi Godzilla tells Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Rodan that they will have a special instructor today. The group call out for him and, before long, Chibi Hedorah appears before them. Hedorah exchanges introductions with Mechagodzilla before moving to Rodan, who he doesn't recognize despite seeing him all the time. When Hedorah admits this, Rodan plummets to the ground and knocks himself unconscious. Hedorah calls this "filthy" and laments about his hatred for filth, but nonetheless proceeds with his lesson.

Hedorah introduces the topic as "humans" and how "pathetic" they are, proclaiming himself to be the most knowledgeable about humans on the island. He then lists human imperfections: being unable to stop using their phones even when they need to wake up early the next day, only exercising and eating well just before a health exam, and continuing to run trains and planes like normal during kaiju attacks. As he wraps up, Hedorah accidentally lets his real voice slip; Chibi Godzilla explains that Hedorah's hatred for humans is just an act, and he fakes a low-pitched voice to sell it better. Hedorah tries to distract with another fact, that some humans call themselves "weirdos" when they aren't weird at all, but Mechagodzilla points out that that's exactly what Hedorah is doing, and wonders if Hedorah has even ever met a human before. Chibi Godzilla and Mechagodzilla are then shocked to find that he hasn't.
