"The Three-Headed Scary God, Chibi Ghidorah" (三つ首の邪神 ちびギドラ, Mittsu Kubi no Jashin: Chibi Gidora) is the second episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. Written by Taketo Shinkai, it aired on Japanese television on April 8, 2023. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that April 17.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla takes Chibi Mechagodzilla on a tour of Monster Island, pointing out mundane objects like trees and dirt before arriving on Chibi Ghidorah. Mechagodzilla asks Ghidorah to be his friend, but finds that Ghidorah's three heads speak over each other. His middle head has a friendly disposition and agrees to be Mechagodzilla's friend, affectionately calling him "Mego-yan." The right head has a short temper, and not only denies Mechagodzilla's friendship but threatens to blast him with Gravity Beams. Finally, the left head is conniving, and agrees to be Mechagodzilla's friend so that he can extort him for money. Chibi Godzilla then asks Ghidorah what he recommends they show Mechagodzilla; the middle head says the scenery, the right head threatens to beat Mechagodzilla up, the left head says matsutake mushrooms, and Chibi Godzilla himself says Dainashi Supermarket.
Mechagodzilla expresses interest in the mushrooms, but Ghidorah says that his three heads will fight over who gets to eat them. Mechagodzilla wonders why they would fight since their shared body will get the nutrition no matter which head eats, to which all three heads respond that they don't want to gain weight from someone else's calories. Chibi Godzilla spots a mushroom, causing Ghidorah to start biting his own heads before collapsing in pain. Godzilla then realizes that there are actually three mushrooms, which Mechagodzilla proposes the heads can share. The middle head responds that they are short a mushroom, as Mechagodzilla should have one too. Mechagodzilla thanks him for his generosity and muses about how great Monster Island is, but is flooded with anger when Chibi Godzilla attributes it to Dainashi Supermarket.
