"Chibi Minilla's First Errand" (ちびミニラ、はじめてのおつかい, Chibi Minira, Hajimete no Otsukai) is the 25th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 12th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on June 19, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that June 26.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla tasks Chibi Minilla with going on her first errand alone. Chibi Minilla accepts, though she becomes confused by Chibi Godzilla being unsure of what he wants and the Shobijin hyping up her trip. Chibi Minilla heads towards the market, but is followed by Chibi Godzilla and the Shobijin, who narrate and give her a 90-minute time limit, much to Chibi Minilla's surprise. Though Chibi Minilla says she knows where she's going, Chibi Godzilla insists that she is lost and is going to ask for directions, repeating his sentence and progressively getting louder until Chibi Minilla concedes and asks Chibi Ghidorah for help. Each of Chibi Ghidorah's heads gives her different instructions; the right tells her to go right, the middle tells her not to go straight, and the left says to go neither left nor right, before all three say one of them is lying. As Chibi Minilla grows even more confused, she gets even more annoyed with Chibi Godzilla's narration.
Eventually, she makes it to the market with only five minutes left, which she blames on Chibi Godzilla, Chibi Ghidorah, and the Shobijin making her play detective. She stops in front of Chibi Gabara's stand, with Chibi Godzilla and the Shobijin making disparaging remarks about the monster. Chibi Gabara tries to sell Chibi Minilla a banana unprompted, explaining that he is trying to get rid of them. While the Shobijin become unexpectedly emotional at this unusual exchange, Chibi Gabara apologizes and states that it is his first day there before giving Chibi Minilla a bag and a 50% discount. Touched, Chibi Minilla thanks him before Chibi Gabara reveals he sold her bananas instead, enraging Chibi Minilla so much she charges her atomic breath. Instead of firing as a beam, she fires a single smoke ring. Chibi Godzilla remarks she's still young while the Shobijin cry tears of joy, which Chibi Minilla instead calls tears of frustration.
