"The Bewitching Rose, Chibi Biollante" (妖艶な薔薇 ちびビオランテ, Yōenna Bara: Chibi Biorante) is the ninth episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on May 27, 2023. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that June 5.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Mothra introduce Chibi Mechagodzilla to a snack bar on Monster Island, as well as to its owner Chibi Biollante. Mothra mentions that the island's residents often come to the bar to tell Biollante of their troubles. Mechagodzilla begins pondering what drink to order, but Biollante interjects with a recommendation of rice crackers; Mechagodzilla is enraged to learn that the bar only serves dried snacks and not drinks. Chibi Godzilla asks Biollante to recommend something for him too, and she again puts out crackers.
Biollante then asks Mechagodzilla to tell her of his troubles. When he tells her that he is stressed out by the island's odd residents, she advises that he rest his mind. Mothra also chimes in with her own problem—that she has a crush on another monster—for which Biollante cryptically recommends "dipping soup for the mind." To Mechagodzilla's shock, Mothra understands her perfectly, explaining that the mind is a noodle and needs to be "dipped in a hot bowl of relaxation to soak up solutions in the broth of thoughts." Mothra also laments that her skin becomes rough and dry when her mind is tired, for which Biollante recommends hyaluronic acid.[a] Mothra expects this, too, to be a riddle about mentality, but Biollante retorts that her skin simply needs the acid.
Mechagodzilla shouts that he doesn't know what's happening anymore. Biollante angers him further by recommending that he hydrate.
