"Genius? Hard Worker? He is...Chibi Rodan" (天才？努力家？ちびラドン, Tensai? Doryokuka? Chibi Radon, lit. "Genius? Hard Worker? Chibi Rodan") is the 32nd episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 19th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on August 7, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that August 14.
Plot
After lifting 30 sets, Chibi Rodan takes a break from working out and starts to prepare his protein drink. Suddenly, Chibi Godzilla appears and reveals that he is staring, startling Chibi Rodan. Chibi Godzilla begins interrogating him about the workout equipment and why he's been acting so secretive, bringing along Chibi Mothra and Chibi Minilla. Chibi Rodan exclaims he was just doing "Jazzercise No. 5," which Chibi Minilla notes isn't real. Chibi Godzilla says he was walking by when he saw Chibi Rodan doing something weird and decided to watch, believing Chibi Rodan has been acting suspicious. Chibi Minilla asks Chibi Rodan if he was working out, which he denies, claiming he's such a genius that he doesn't have to put effort into being fit. Chibi Minilla says he's trying to hide his trying, while Chibi Godzilla points out all the exercise equipment, forcing Chibi Rodan to admit he was exercising, though he still maintains he was barely putting effort into it. Chibi Mothra says she saw differently, but Chibi Rodan says he was merely moving his muscles, not working them, stunning Chibi Minilla and angering Chibi Mothra. When asked by Chibi Godzilla what he'll try after, Chibi Rodan says he doesn't have to "try" to do anything, instead reading a book about strong kaiju not having to try to do anything and just do. Chibi Minilla says Chibi Rodan must be a hard worker, and he adds that he's only reading the aforementioned book with his right eye while reading about color coordination with his left eye, further impressing her. Chibi Rodan then claims he takes baths with facial toner, shocking Chibi Mothra. Chibi Godzilla then points to a hole in the ground and accuses Chibi Rodan of practicing falling from the sky as well, and before Chibi Minilla can point out the absurdity of the accusation, Chibi Rodan screams. Chibi Godzilla takes this as confirmation, noting how perfectly he's previously fallen into the ground, and Chibi Mothra suggests he should stop trying so hard. Chibi Rodan maintains he still isn't actually trying, since geniuses such as himself don't have to try. Chibi Minilla and Chibi Mothra both agree that a hard-working genius is just as cool as a natural-born one, with the latter admitting she respects Chibi Rodan more with all of these revelations. Chibi Rodan accepts but brushes off their compliments, again insisting he lives his life effortlessly. Chibi Godzilla says he likes the way Chibi Rodan stands his ground, before adding "head-first from the sky!", causing Chibi Rodan to plummet into the ground. Chibi Mothra and Chibi Minilla praise him for the hard work he put into falling.
