"Don't Underestimate Monster Hooligans" (ヤンキー怪獣ナメんなよ, Yankī Kaijū Namen na yo) is the 26th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 13th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on June 26, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that July 3.
Plot
Chibi Rodan thanks Chibi Mechagodzilla and Chibi Godzilla for coming to listen to a "heroic tale" about himself, irritating Chibi Mechagodzilla immediately. Chibi Rodan continues, asking if they're interested in hearing how he beat a "monster hooligan," ignoring Chibi Godzilla's blunt disinterest and Chibi Mechagodzilla's protests. Chibi Rodan claims to have "won" against a hooligan, but refuses to elaborate on the apparent exchange in question. Chibi Mechagodzilla doesn't buy Chibi Rodan's explanation that since he won he doesn't need to go into detail. Chibi Godzilla agrees and asks what a hooligan even is, to which Mechagodzilla says there aren't any on the island in the first place. Suddenly, he sees Chibi Titano, who aggressively introduces himself as the number one monster hooligan on the island, a statement Chibi Mechagodzilla agrees with due to him being the only one. Chibi Godzilla grows afraid but is confident Chibi Rodan will defeat Chibi Titano again, only for Chibi Rodan to immediately drop to the ground, bowing and offering up his money, earning even Chibi Titano's confusion. Chibi Rodan confesses he lied about winning and requests Chibi Titano punch him, but only succeeds in irritating the latter further as he is blatantly not listening. Chibi Titano reiterates an earlier request to "watch where you're going". Chibi Godzilla says he's going straight, but Chibi Mechagodzilla explains that this is merely classic hooligan speak before they try to fight people and not literal directions. However, Chibi Titano appears glad that Chibi Godzilla knows which direction he is headed in. Exasperated, Chibi Mechagodzilla asks if he just wanted to know the direction, which Chibi Titano confirms, expressing his concerns about people not looking where they're going due to being on their phones all the time.
Revived by Chibi Mechagodzilla's speculation that Chibi Titano isn't a hooligan, Chibi Rodan soars back into the sky, before immediately bowing back down once Chibi Titano asks what he said in an aggressive tone. Chibi Titano then advises Chibi Rodan to be more cautious when flying. Chibi Mechagodzilla becomes more convinced that Chibi Titano isn't a hooligan, disappointing Chibi Godzilla, who says it is a "shame" that they didn't meet a real hooligan. Overhearing this, Chibi Titano instructs them both to turn their "shame" into positive energy before requesting the three monsters join him on a run. After he departs, Chibi Rodan flies back up, insisting that he scared the monster away and that if he comes back, he'll beat him again, though he blames his previous inaction on feeling sick. Chibi Titano returns and exclaims he can still hear him, prompting Chibi Rodan to instantly drop to the ground in what Chibi Mechagodzilla calls the "fastest surrender ever." Chibi Titano tells Chibi Rodan to go home if he feels sick and that he should get some rest, convincing Chibi Mechagodzilla that he is not a hooligan after all.
