"Chibi Ghidorah Can't Get Along" (ちびギドラは仲が悪い, Chibi ゙Gidora wa Naka ga ゙Warui) is the 18th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the fifth episode of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on May 1, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that May 8.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla arranges a party with Chibi Mechagodzilla, Chibi Ghidorah, and Chibi Mothra, and they prepare to start it until Chibi Mechagodzilla notices Chibi Ghidorah acting strangely. Chibi Ghidorah's middle head reveals that the left and right heads are fighting. Chibi Ghidorah's left head rudely tells Chibi Mechagodzilla that all three heads have different personalities and it is wasn't his choice to be stuck with the other heads, which the right head agrees with. The left head is offended at this and argues with the right head while the middle head attempts to break up the fight; ultimately, all three heads end up biting each other, which leads to them passing out. Chibi Godzilla comments that this happened because all three heads feel the same amount of pain no matter who bites who, confusing Chibi Mechagodzilla as to what the point of these fights is. Chibi Mechagodzilla asks Chibi Godzilla what they should do to help Chibi Ghidorah, but Chibi Godzilla replies that they should toast, shocking Chibi Mechagodzilla at his callousness. Chibi Ghidorah gets up and his middle head thanks Chibi Mechagodzilla for his wish to help them. The robot asks what caused the initial fight, at which Chibi Ghidorah explains that they agreed to watch a movie the night before. The right head rented a horror movie, angering the left head as all of them would have to watch and he does not enjoy horror. The right head refused to listen, even commenting that his "shrieks of terror will make the movie better." In response, the left head punched them in the stomach, causing all three heads pain, much to the confusion of Chibi Mechagodzilla.
Chibi Ghidorah's middle head tells the group that he is now paying the price for the left and right heads fighting, but the other two heads comment that he is also at fault. Chibi Ghidorah explains that the middle head was playing games in the middle of the night while the other two were sleeping, meaning that the two heads only got six hours rest for nine hours sleep, while the middle head got the same rest despite not sleeping at all. This angered the left and right heads, but the middle head responded by holding his breath, which also suffocated the other two heads. Returning to the present, the heads continue to fight and Chibi Godzilla proposes to resolve the dispute by beginning the party, angering Chibi Mechagodzilla once again due to Chibi Godzilla only caring about the party. Chibi Mothra points out that it might not be a bad idea as it would allow the heads to make amends, which all three heads agree with. Chibi Ghidorah takes the tuna sushi which Chibi Mechagodzilla comments usually comes in two pieces, but if you try to divide it into three, the three heads will fight over it. Seeing Chibi Ghidorah lying on the floor after fighting over the sushi, Chibi Mechagodzilla simply comments that it's not his problem.
