"Chibi Ghidorah's Part-Time Job" (ちびギドラバイトはじめました, Chibi Gidora Baito Hajimemashita, lit. "Chibi Ghidorah Starts a Part-Time Job") is the 30th episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 17th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on July 24, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that July 31.
Plot
Chibi Gabara and Chibi Ghidorah sit down at the former's family restaurant to conduct the latter's job interview. Chibi Gabara questions why he has three resumes, to which Chibi Ghidorah responds that he has three times the chance of getting hired and could earn three times the pay if all three of his heads get hired. Chibi Gabara promptly shoots him down, pointing out they all share the same body. Chibi Gabara then asks why Chibi Ghidorah wants to work at his store, to which Chibi Ghidorah's middle head replies that if Chibi Gabara can work there, anybody is qualified. Chibi Gabara defends himself and argues that it is hard to pretend he's cooking all the time. Chibi Ghidorah's right head then says he wants the job for the money, to which Chibi Gabara agrees, before the left head asks if Chibi Ghidorah's hired or not. Chibi Gabara is reluctant, but before he can fully explain to Chibi Ghidorah about how important customers are, especially disgruntled ones, an enraged Chibi Godzilla barges into the interview, angry with how long it's taking for anyone to take his order. Chibi Gabara extensively apologizes and insists he'll take Chibi Godzilla's order after the interview, convincing him to go back and wait. Chibi Gabara uses the incident as an example of how to treat customers, though Chibi Ghidorah's left and middle heads are surprised Chibi Gabara didn't take Chibi Godzilla's order first. Chibi Gabara then asks Chibi Ghidorah what his strong points are; when asked by Chibi Ghidorah for his own, Chibi Gabara says his are "stress interviews". As Chibi Ghidorah thinks, Chibi Gabara starts increasingly pressuring him until Chibi Ghidorah gives up. Chibi Gabara then exclaims that he's hired anyways, solely due to his store being understaffed. Chibi Gabara then begins Chibi Ghidorah's training, though he continues to pile pressure onto him. Chibi Gabara has Chibi Ghidorah repeat what he says, though once he reaches "may I take your order?" Chibi Godzilla bursts in again, even angrier than before. Chibi Gabara and Chibi Ghidorah both apologize to him, though Chibi Godzilla angrily yells that they aren't really being sincere.
