"Mr. Hedo's Lecture" (ヘドさんの長話, Hedo-san no Nagabanashi) is the 31st episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 18th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on June 31, 2024. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that August 7.
Plot
Chibi Godzilla hypes up Chibi Anguirus, Chibi Mothra, Chibi Ghidorah, and Chibi Mechagodzilla for another lesson to become big monsters. The four of them cheer until Chibi Godzilla reveals Chibi Hedorah will be their teacher today, leaving Chibi Mechagodzilla confused at their groans. Chibi Ghidorah complains that Chibi Hedorah's lessons are too long, and Chibi Mothra adds that he once spent two hours talking about feet, flabbergasting Chibi Mechagodzilla. Chibi Hedorah announces today's lesson will be about humanity's repeated mistakes, and Chibi Mechagodzilla guesses the first will be war. He is shocked when Chibi Hedorah instead begins the lesson by citing humanity's tendency to order unlimited drinks but then being too full to finish the first. Chibi Hedorah continues listing humanity's sins, mentioning throwing laundry into their washing machines but missing, leading to it falling between it and the wall, as well as going to bed without going to the bathroom and then waking up at night needing to pee. Though Chibi Mechagodzilla is frustrated, Chibi Hedorah continues on for two more hours, after which two of Chibi Ghidorah's heads fall asleep and Chibi Mothra falls from the sky due to anemia. After Chibi Mechagodzilla asks if they can go home, Chibi Hedorah angrily tells him young humans avoid old senile ones because they talk too much, ignoring Chibi Mechagodzilla pointing out he does the same thing. Chibi Ghidorah's middle head gives out and Chibi Anguirus collapses to the ground, after which Chibi Hedorah mentions the worst sin of all: making a New Year's resolution to get fit and then not using the dumbbells they bought. At that, Chibi Mechagodzilla exclaims that it was the tamest wrongdoing Chibi Hedorah's mentioned, while Chibi Godzilla faints from exhaustion. Chibi Hedorah remarks to Chibi Mechagodzilla that Monster Island's youth have no willpower. Chibi Hedorah rejects Chibi Mechagodzilla's suggestion that he talks for too long, instead blaming their weakness on their feet and their inability to allocate their weight properly. He then prepares to give another two hour-long lecture on this theory, enraging Chibi Mechagodzilla.
