"Dream Hot Spring" (理想の温泉, Risō no Onsen) is the 51st episode of Chibi Godzilla Raids Again and the 38th of its second season. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on December 18, 2024. An English-subtitled version was released on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel on January 15, 2025.
Plot
Chibi Gigan discovers an isolated hot spring on Monster Island and determines it is perfectly pristine. Just as he rejoices that it will be his secret, he notices Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Rodan already sitting in it, neither of whom are enthusiastic about it but are there because it's free. Chibi Gigan rages at them for tainting his spring and starts listing the health benefits, though neither Chibi Godzilla nor Chibi Rodan care. Chibi Godzilla asks why he doesn't join them if he likes it so much, and Chibi Gigan states that he cannot because he's a robot. Chibi Rodan asks why he cares if he can't get in, to which Chibi Gigan replies that he's a "Hot Spring Observer Enthusiast," confusing Chibi Godzilla and boring Chibi Rodan. Chibi Gigan defends himself and changes to praising the location, though he only annoys the others. Chibi Hedorah discovers the hot spring and prepares to jump in, though Chibi Gigan pleads with him not to since his sludge will contaminate "his" water. Chibi Hedorah tells him it's a natural hot spring and thus not owned by any monster and that all monsters on Monster Island share it, and when Chibi Gigan says it should be given to the discoverer, Chibi Godzilla points out he and Chibi Rodan beat him to it anyways. Chibi Hedorah dives in, his sludge dissipating into the water and causing him to change to his clean form, much to Chibi Gigan's despair. Chibi Gigan calls Chibi Hedorah nasty in his lament, and Chibi Hedorah passive-aggressively says it isn't a good first impression. Chibi Gigan says he's leaving the now-murky hot spring behind, but Chibi Hedorah tells him it's not like the hot spring chose to be murky; Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Rodan tell Chibi Hedorah that he polluted it in the first place. Chibi Gigan suddenly capitulates to Chibi Hedorah and admits he was wrong, and Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Rodan tell him to stop being a pushover.
